| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Evals wiped away the dirt after her answer was made. She began to write again as he drank some of the wine he had. What would come next? Wait until morning or should she let everything play out now? 'Why are you scared?' was the first bit and below that she moved a bit and wrote out again above it, still facing towards Kreos. 'Do you want my help?' She questioned and looked up at him innocently. Wondering how he would respond to that. Maybe he would accept it, would she ask for anything in return or just have Emily be nice? Outside, the Skeletons moved into the darkness inbetween the lightning flashes. Seeming to vanish from sight, only to be flanking around the sides to wait there for now. Moving silently in the heavy rain, they didn't seem to make any noise as they stood outside of the shelter out of sight now, waiting for commands to be given. |

"I had...a lot of bad experiences with them as a child. And if you can help, I would very much appreciate it." he had his eyes closed. He felt where his left eye used to be throb. He reopened his eyes, this time they shone with a cold determination. He looked over to Emily, "What else can you do?" maybe she could call holy powers, or turn the skeletons into stone. Maybe...but he had to think of something if that plan failed. He had no "holy" relics, no weapons, he couldn't even heal himself, all he could do was stab, singe, and sprint. He touched Bo subconsciously, it was his closest friend. He was a big, lovable oaf. His eye was being drawn outside, toward where the skeleton men where. He tore away from this spot and focused on the girl, "Now what do we do?" |

Evals went and wipped away the writting in the dirt again. Would it get worn out if she kept this up? Maybe, maybe not. She could always start to write in the webbing on the wall of the shelter. That sounded a little bit difficult comapred to the simple dirt writting. Probably harder to see too. When he asked what else she could do, she wrote out a simple answer to that. 'Keep you safe.' With a smile she wipped out the writting once again after he had read it. The next thing, this was going to see how desperate he was. She looked out again, from here the skeletons couldn't be seen anymore, not at the moment anyways. She started to write once again, this was going to be a bit longer than everything else so far. 'I was nice enough to do you one favor in return for your kindess but now it would be odd among my kind to give you help without obtaining something in return.' She wrote out and seemed to hold some kind of gloom over her, like she didn't want to. Moving over so she had more room, she continued to write in the dirt. 'If you have nothing of value you can always swear your eternal loyalty to me and I will make sure I keep them away from you.' She finished and looked up at him with some kind of wanting to get it over with. |

Kreos turned to the girl, and gazed at her. He wanted protection, but, he could not let this happen. "I am sorry, but, I am a wanderer. I have nothing of value. And my freedom is something I hold dear. I would appreciate your protection, but, I cannot offer you my service. I am sorry." he hung his head in shame. He did not look the woman in the eyes, only stared at the fire. He felt Bo stir, and breath out slowly. Kreos did not see the skeletons outside. "I need some sleep. Is that all right?" he shifted Bo, and leaned his head against the dog's ribs. He pulled his two cloaks against him tightly and curled up into a ball. He did not wait for an answer from the girl. He closed his eyes, and was immediately claimed by sleep. |

Evals frowned, well that wasn't going the best. He didn't have anything of value and he turned down the offer she gave him, she even made it sound like she wouldn't do really ask him of anything. Before she could silently say something about it, he said he was going back to sleep. He kept doing that whatever fainting or needing sleep. Quite annoying, and Evals could get annoyed. She'd let him sleep. Thunder clashed again, loud but still distant. Let him sleep so he'd be fully awake for when she was going to break his spirit and will to do anything. Not even going to let him pass out from pain either, end his own life with that. If his life was ended, she would unend it and continue before his nerves became shot. By morning, the storm was mostly going, there was still clouds and a light rain overhead. Grey and unwelcoming to the people that perferred the sun. 'Emily' was gone by the time that Kreos would awake, and the webbing was broken in by the heavy rain of the night before. Now, what will happen next for the Elf. |

Kreos woke to find the webbing and the girl responsible for it gone. He poured dirt onto the fire and scrambled out of the shelter. He could not see the skeletons anywhere. He heard a rustle from behind. He turned around quickly to see Bo, crawling slowly away from the shelter. He looked tired, but he was walking fine. They both looked around for a few moments, and saw nothing. Kreos shrugged and wished the best for the girl, and began to walk toward an old ampitheater, surrounded by twelve columns covered with ivy. He walked up to one of the stone seats and sat. The rain was light, but he still wore his hood. He patted Bo, who had fallen asleep. Kreos leaned back against the chair and stared out over the wide expanse of rubble and stone. The remnants of an ancient city. |

In the wake of the morning, the soft and almost soundless march of the skeletons on the ground approached where Kreos had went off to in the earlier morning. Once they arrived in the ampithreater, they stopped and scanned the area. Once their target was found, they moved quickly with drawn weapons. One jumping on top of the bench and perched there, using boney feet and a hand to clamp onto the top of the stone and another one swinging the sword down towards the Elf to cleave an arm off. The other one came from the other side and lunged the sword through the old and weathered stone and smashed through it to impale Kreos if he moved away from the first skeleton. Evals watched from atop of a high rise building. What would he do? How would he react? He should've just taken the offer and the skeletons will leave him alone. She sat there with her legs folded and elbows on her knees. Head in her hands, watching the attack of the two Undead on the frightened Elf. |

Kreos yelped as he saw two skeletons lunge with blades, threatening to take his life. He immediatly dived forward, and was sent tumbling down the seats to the stage flat. He stood, and drew his knife quickly. He looked around quickly to find an exit. He found one, on the far left of the raised seating area. He kept the skeletons in the corner of his right eye as he ran. He tumbled up the stairs and swore. He would need to keep running, and not worry about what the skeletons were doing. If he could outrun them, he might be able to live. He saw Bo running behind him. He whistled and Bo sped up to stay next to his master. Only a few steps left... |

'Run, run, run. Run little mortal, your life is in my hands.' Evals thought in a singsong way. The Skeletons followed, not as quickly though. Because from the exit bursted through was a large Undead form, of the Fossil Drake. Stone chunks fell from the walls and around Kreos. The large form sent out a death filled bellow from the bowels of it's throat. A clawed fist launched out to try and pin the Elf to the ground. The skeletons closed in and made sure to stop him if he tried to run around way. Oh where would he go now? What would he do? What else is he going to pull out of the air to save him? What will the Undead do to make sure his doom is ensured? Would he give up hope? He couldn't get away, the creatures of nightmares lurked the ruins. |

Kreos screamed a curse as he saw a huge drake burst through the wall. Stone was flung everywhere. The skeletons were going to be on him in a few moments. At that point everything seemed to stand still. He shuddered, and looked to his left. There was a huge gaping hole where the wall had been, below, a pile of rubble and green scrub. He could maybe make the fall. He made a decision. He grabbed Bo in both arms and hurled himself through the hole in the wall. When he hit the ground he did not feel the jar of earth on bone, but felt like he was still falling. He looked around and found that he had fallen into a deep dark hole. It was carved of stone, and had no light. He swore and jumped up. He rummaged in his bag and found a small candle. He muttered words under his breath and the candle sputtered to life. He then ran, Bo following close behind, down the dark tunnel. |

Evals frowned, he got away again. Into the tunnels, the underground. It may not be the best place to run from the Undead of the ruins but Kreos seemed desperate. She stood up and just watched as the Dragon dug it's way into the tunnel and underground shaft. It pushed dirt out of the way and followed down the tunnel to chase after him, not exactly being big enough to make it collaspe. Walking away from her perch on the building rise, she was going to see what happened in the tunnels. Maybe intercept him if he was getting too far away from the Drake, would she reveal her malice or continue to pretend to help him or not. Climbing down a pick and into a window with a spiraling staircase she went to find herself a way into the tunnels. After a little while she made her way into another part of the tunnel. One that the Elf and Drake hadn't gotten to yet. Evals stood in the darkness, and she lit her latern and held it up. The Drake would stop soon enough, to let Kreos get a bit further into the tunnel. She would handle it from here. |

Kreos heard the manic scrabbling of claws on stone as the huge drake clawed after him. He was running full tilt into darkness. He had dropped his candle long ago. He and Bo were running at the same speed, feet pounding against the earth. Kreos caught a glimpse of a small tunnel up ahead, barely large enough for a human to fit through. He picked up Bo and leaped into it. He ran down the small tunnel, Bo in front, headed for a small point of light. When he finally reached it he saw a small figure, a girl. Emily. |

Evals gave a smile, she was still in the form of a living girl. When he got close, she smiled gently and grabbed him and pulled him down another tunnel system and then covered his mouth with her hand. She shushed him with her breath and put out the latern as in the darkness another set of lights trailed down the tunnels. A group of a fifty or two Undead beings, all carrying medium sized sheilds and pikes marched. The top of each pike had a small lamp hang from it, they continued on their way into another section of the undergrounds and when they were out of range she released the Elf and turned held her latern up and shook it, asking for a light. |

He muttered a few words under his breath and the lantern sparked to life. He leaned against a wall, thickly crusted with salt deposits. Bo was sitting quietly looking up at the girl, then looking at the lights bobbing into the distance. Kreos slid down the wall quietly. Thoughts raced through his mind, how would they get out of here, why had the undead taken sudden interest in such an insignificant elf? Why had the demon spider woman saved him? He looked quietly up at the girl, his face covered with a large cowl, "Which way do we go young miss?" he asked politely, a slight twinge of fear on his voice. |

What to do now, what to do now. Bring him into the bowels of the underground or even to the Black Mist Mansion? Why not, nobody will find him afterwards. Nobody in the Shadow Society will care what she does to a simple living being, a simple Elven being. He was very well considered dead if he was following Evals. 'Run run, your life is in my hands.' She repeated in her mind as she nodded to him and waved down the tunnel from where the small marching force just came from. Into the heart of the terrortory, no, not the heart. The gut. With the distance being covered by how fast Evals walked, which wasn't very rushed. She had forever, how long Kreos had she didn't seem to worried about. Just leading the way with the latern light, no more Undead seemed to be around for a good while. After an hour of walking in the near darkness of almost silence, besides the sound of movement and if Kreos said anything, they came upon two heavy wooden gates in the tunnel, and the dirt seemed to give way to stone and wood, roughly. Evals held the latern against some of the stone and dirt walls and wrote out again until she was finished, and shone the light over it. 'You can run away now if you want, might not get you anywhere though.' It stated and she stood there passive about his decision. |
